Fashion Show Paris, capital of fashion and love

On Monday 31 May at 6pm, in the Cour d’Honneur of the Monnaie de Paris, EIDM’s first-year Bachelor students staged their showcase fashion show on the theme Paris, capital of fashion and love. Our patron, Baptiste Giabiconi, was also there to support our students.

The first-year Bachelor fashion show

Through their collections on the theme “Paris, capital of fashion and love”, EIDM students set out to portray different districts and different eras of Paris. The show reflects their vision of the city: a liberated, festive Paris where love of oneself and love of others reign; a Paris that stands for women’s independence; an artistic Paris that carries us away; and finally a futuristic Paris, expressing the hope for a more sustainable fashion industry, more attuned to people.

The collections on show.

Come and discover the outfits created by the Art Direction & Styling students, inspired by the worlds of the Opéra, Pigalle, futuristic Paris, Place Vendôme, romantic Paris and the Louvre.

To open the show, the Paris Avant-Garde collection will unveil a series of scenes portraying a full day in the streets of Paris.

Next, the Louvre collection will bring the famous museum’s iconic works of art back to life.

The Pigalle collection sets out to reveal a Paris by night, free and uninhibited. Sensuality is the guiding thread of this collection, while of course keeping a chic, luxurious edge.

Then the Paris Romantique collection will tell a universal love story, conveying a range of emotions: love, of course, but also joy, sadness and innocence.

The Place Vendôme collection will portray a woman of class, elegance and chic who radiates the aura of a femme fatale.

The Paris Futur collection will propel us into the year 3000, in the hope of finding a better kind of fashion there.

Finally, the Millénaire III collection looks ahead to a fairly distant future. A future beyond dystopia, in which humankind has reinvented the use of every everyday object.

Learning by Doing

Every year, EIDM students run a hands-on project: staging a fashion show, creating a magazine, opening a pop-up store, running an entrepreneurial venture, leading a team and more. A rewarding professional experience that places the emphasis on creativity, imagination and commitment. Giving the very best of yourself!
