Frequently Asked Questions – EIDM

International School of Fashion & Luxury

Tuition Fees & Intakes

Yes. At EIDM we offer several ways to pay your tuition fees: plan A (a single payment), plan B (three instalments) and plan C (six instalments). Available only for programmes taught on campus.

The International School of Fashion and Luxury runs an academic intake in October and a delayed intake in January. Only students enrolling in the first year of a Bachelor can join this delayed intake. These students follow exactly the same programme as those starting in September, but at a more intensive pace. All French-language programmes are also available by distance learning for both intakes.

Qualifications & Accreditation

EIDM awards professional qualifications listed in the RNCP register, recognised by the French State and registered with France Compétences. These qualifications certify a level of attainment and the professional skills employers are looking for.

EIDM also awards its own school diplomas, carrying ECTS credits, which make further study and the recognition of your qualifications easier across the European Higher Education Area.

Master's

Of course. Once you have completed your Bachelor, you can go on to the Mastère Fashion Art and Event Director, which places the emphasis on communication, art direction and events within fashion & luxury.

Yes. In the fifth year, EIDM offers a Master's taught entirely in English. Discover our English-taught programmes

Student Life & Teaching

EIDM offers a range of multidisciplinary, career-focused programmes designed to help you meet the high expectations of the fashion industry. A year of study at EIDM therefore includes:

  • high-quality theoretical teaching, averaging 20 hours a week;
  • additional high-quality e-learning content;
  • hands-on experience in a company through placements lasting 2 to 6 months, depending on the year of study;
  • a large-scale professional project every year: staging a fashion show, creating a fashion magazine, launching a pop-up store, producing a photo shoot or developing an entrepreneurial venture.

The International School of Fashion and Luxury champions methods that are both innovative and effective: its teaching is built around experience and therefore around delivering a real, concrete project. Through learning by doing and peer learning, both pioneered in the United States, EIDM favours a hands-on approach and encourages students to share their skills with one another. Students thus build their independence and their creativity by leading ambitious group projects.

All of EIDM's French-language programmes are available as e-learning. This means you can learn at your own pace, in the city of your choice and at a reasonable cost.

Through its international mobility programme, students can take a study visit or spend a semester at a partner university abroad, strengthening their skills and boosting their employability.

When it comes to placements, EIDM students are encouraged to complete them with a company abroad. Lasting 2 to 6 months and built into every year of study from Bachelor to Master's level, international placements give students a unique professional, cultural and language experience. With this in mind, EIDM has signed a partnership agreement with ALZEA and PARENTHÈSE, two organisations that help arrange company placements abroad.

That said, taking a placement or studying abroad requires a satisfactory level of language proficiency. EIDM is an accredited TOEIC examination centre and runs TOEIC preparation courses so that students can certify their level of English.

Of course. EIDM invites its students to follow Bachelor and Master's years taught entirely in English (Bachelor 3 Fashion Management & Mastère 2 Fashion Business Management).

Students are supported and guided throughout their studies in their search for a placement. The teaching teams provide one-to-one follow-up to make the search easier: targeted placement offers, help defining a career plan, support in writing a CV and a covering letter, interview preparation and more.

EIDM maintains close relationships with the fashion and luxury industry, and companies regularly send us placement offers for our students, in France and abroad. Every placement and job offer is published on our dedicated platform, which connects current students with the school's alumni.

For placements abroad, EIDM works with ALZEA and PARENTHÈSE, two organisations that help arrange company placements overseas.

The fashion and luxury industry remains a thriving sector, with more than a million jobs (direct and indirect) and over 150 billion euros in turnover in France in 2019. Drawing on its expertise and its innovative, high-performing teaching methods, the International School of Fashion and Luxury aims to give all of its graduates fast and varied access to the job market.

Whether their profile is creative or business-oriented, EIDM's young graduates can aspire to prestigious careers in fashion and luxury.

Combining studies with a student job is entirely possible: EIDM students can apply for part-time work and, what is more, make the most of that experience with future employers.
