Fashion Show Edge of Freedom
EIDM’s fashion show on this year’s theme, “FREEDOM”, took place on Tuesday 29 March 2022 at 7.00pm at the Trianon, 80 Boulevard Marguerite de Rochechouart, 75018 Paris.

We believe that being happy and free is vital. After two years of a health crisis in which we were deprived of our freedoms, that experience made us realise just how important they are. That is why, through the Edge of Freedom show, our mission is to champion freedoms in all their forms: sexual freedom, freedom of opinion, the freedom to live life to the full. It is with great enthusiasm that we stand up for these causes, which concern every one of us.
Thanks to the combined efforts of the students of EIDM, we will be presenting six collections whose central theme is a call for freedom. These collections are named Carnavalesco, Punk Landrix, Censure, Spice Girls, Him L’homme Libre and Coachella Hella — names that take on their full meaning in the light of the messages we want to convey. A show full of positivity and celebration, with a model casting that reflects that spirit.
This year, the show will be held at the prestigious Trianon, 80 Boulevard Marguerite de Rochechouart, 75018 Paris.
Through “Edge of Freedom”, we are calling for our freedoms to be upheld.
Freedom begins where ignorance ends.

Punk Landrix
The Punk Landrix collection conveys the idea of freedom of bodily expression; it expresses the freedom to dress and to define one’s identity as one chooses, and promotes gender equality. Our collection is independent, edgy and breaks away from conformist style. It carries our spirit of subversion, champions counter-culture and invites rebellion, while keeping a hint of melancholy and dark romance.

BW SIDE
The concept behind this BW SIDE collection, built around a play of colours and the discovery of the body, is simple: to portray the duality between censorship, pictured in black, and freedom, associated with white — a duality out of which freedom emerges.

Young Wild & Free
The 1990s marked a turning point in the development of fundamental rights and freedoms, and in the status of women. In the Young Wild & Free collection, designed to be eco-responsible, artistic freedom, freedom of expression, girl power and the fight against racism take centre stage. The icons and trends of the 90s are brought to the fore.

HIM
The HIM collection asserts a certain non-conformism with an avant-garde edge. It champions self-confidence, gender freedom and the acceptance of others and of oneself.

Hella
At the crossroads of love, peace and freedom, the Hella collection echoes a bohemian, carefree world. It tells a story — that of the 1970s movement against war and consumer society — and expresses the desire to celebrate freedom, in the spirit of the Coachella festival.

EL CARNAVALESCO
Explore the world of the Rio carnival through the EL CARNAVALESCO collection, a nod to the worlds of fantasy, creativity, satire, irony, freedom of movement, madness and joy. In a sparkling, colourful setting, several dancers compete against one another, dressed in pieces in their signature colour (lingerie and accessories emblematic of the Rio carnival), ranked from the coolest to the warmest.
