Fashion Mag Night 2021
On Friday 18 June, aboard the Péniche Paris at 2 quai de la Tournelle in Paris, our Fashion Students hosted the launch party for their magazines. For the occasion, a panel of industry professionals was assembled to reward their work.
The Magazine project
Held under this year’s theme “Paris, capital of fashion and love”, the event brought together students, magazine contributors (photographers, models, make-up artists, hairstylists, sponsors and more) and industry professionals. Mégane Simon, director of EIDM Paris, opened the evening by presenting the different stages of the launch. Guests were free to browse the students’ magazines, displayed on the upper deck of the Péniche. A private concert by the singer Musa followed, along with a second DJ set, while the judges deliberated. Then, at 10pm, came the eagerly awaited announcement of the jury’s results and well-deserved congratulations to all our students for the quality of their work.
The jury’s favourites were Gasma magazine by Erick Massidy and Plastic Fag magazine by Alex Ferauge, Inès Alimi and Marie-Anissa Blacknierek. Students Mélanie Sfez and Laurie Marques were also rewarded for organising the evening. A range of activities was on offer, with a photo call, a print bar and a standing buffet dinner. Once again, we would like to congratulate all our students on the tremendous commitment they showed and on the quality of the magazines they produced.
Learning by Doing
Every year, EIDM students run a hands-on project: staging a fashion show, creating a magazine, opening a pop-up store, running an entrepreneurial venture, leading a team and more. A rewarding professional experience that places the emphasis on creativity, imagination and commitment. Giving the very best of yourself!
