Partner residences
Studying at EIDM Nice gives you access to accommodation in our partner residences. You can also visit the Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur website for all information on accommodation.
Most students who rent can claim housing benefit paid by the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales, designed to cover part of their rent. These payments are not «student grants», however. Anyone on a low income can claim them. To receive this support, you must:
1. Hold a tenancy agreement (so the lease must not be in your parents' name)
2. Actually live in the property as your main residence (the rent receipts must be in your name).
3. Your income must not exceed certain thresholds. There are two types of housing benefit paid by the CAF: ALS and APL. Unfortunately, the two cannot be combined. Please note: the property you live in must not belong to your parents! More information at www.caf.fr
